Let It Snow!

On the first day of snowfall we were setup with winter materials. The children made snowflakes, snowmen, sculpted trees covered in snow, and at the water table we melted ice so they could see what happens to the snow when it melts. This was a hit, ice cube after ice cube was melted! At the sand table we filled it with fine white sand and let the children arrange natural objects to create a winter forest.
